The troglodytes are a race of reptilian Humanoïdes said to be descended from the dragons. The troglodytes inhabit the jungles of Q'Barra.

Little is known about the history of the troglodytes, other than their possible descendancy from the dragons. Troglodytes are one of the few races to appear on the continents Argonnessen, Khorvaire, and Xen'Drik, which lends support to this theory. Kobold and troglodyte priests that worship the overlord Masvirik Le Froid Soleil believe their races were created by Masvirik, sculpted from the tribes of Homme-lézards.

The largest population of troglodytes on Khorvaire is in Q'Barra, where they hide in the ruins of the fallen fortresses of the fiends from the Âge des Démons.

Troglodytes are reptilian Humanoïdes, shorter than the traditional Humain, with thin but muscular arms and squat legs. They have a unique frill on the top of their head, and a long tail. Its eyes are dark and beady.

Troglodyte's exude a unique odor, and troglodyte musk can be smelled from quite a distance.

The trogodytes worship their own pantheon. However, scholars have made links between their gods and Le Dévoreur and Le Narquois from Les Sombres Six, and believe the troglodytes simply worship aspects of these two gods.

Hated even by the other reptilian races of Q'Barra, the Draconien, the Kobolds, and the Homme-Lézard, the troglodytes live beneath the ground, usually in the ruins of the fallen citadels from the Âge des Démons.
