Unlike other Guerrier de Fer creations created by Maison Bombardier, Scorpion de Fers were created by the ancient Drow. After the fall of the Géants many millennia ago, the drow raided the Géants' Forges Créatrices, and used them to create Guerrier de Fer in the likeness of their god Vulkoor. The knowledge of their creation has long been forgotten, but the Scorpion de Fers themselves roam the wilds of Xen'Drik.

About 80,000 years ago, a large empire of Géants rose to power on the continent of Xen'drik. However, 40,000 years ago, the Géants came into conflict with an incursion from the plane of Dal Quor. The Géant empire was nearly destroyed, and their slaves, the drow, saw this as the ideal time to revolt. Drow renegades raided Géant Artificier facilities and Forges Créatrices, and used them to create Géant Scorpion de Fers, designed in the likeness of the scorpion god they worshiped: Vulkoor.

The drow used the Scorpion de Fers as land troops in their continued war against the Géants. Then, 39,000 years ago, the Dragons emerged from Argonnessen, and finally put an end to the crumbling Géant empire. In the face of the dragon assault on Xen'drik, the drow went into hiding, spending the next few millennia regressing to a more primitive society. The secrets of the creation of the Scorpion de Fers were Perdu over time, though the scorpions themselves remained, scattered throughout the continent acting out the last commands of their drow creators. Some Scorpion de Fers still guard ancient ruins, while others roam the jungle killing whatever they come across.

There are rumors that a small group of drow maintains the secret of creating Scorpion de Fers, and that they have a number of these constructs still in their service.

Scorpion de Fers look a lot like a large monstrous scorpion: they possess large frontal pincers, a stinger, and 6 mechanical legs. It stand 4 feet off the ground, and is crafted from metal, wood, and stone.

Like most constructs, Scorpion de Fers only have a rudimentary intelligence. However, some who have existed for the last 40,000 years have actually developed free will.

Like organic scorpions, Scorpion de Fers attack their prey with their pincers and stinger. A Scorpion de Fer's pincers are incredibly strong, and can be used to sunder enemy weapons. The scorpion's stinger contains an embedded sac of acid, that it can use to spray its enemies during a pincer attack.

Scorpion de Fers possess low-light vision, have plated metal armor, and are somewhat resistant to acid, cold, electricity, fire, and sonic attacks. Though most Scorpion de Fers understand the languages Commun, Drow, and Géant, they cannot speak.
