Once part of House Phiarlan, the elves of Maison Thuranni formed their own house during the La Dernière Guerre as the conflict began to turn various house factions against each other. Now Thuranni competes directly with Phiarlan in the areas of espionage, surveillance, and information brokering, as well as in entertainment and artisan endeavors. The two houses share the Marque de l'Ombre, though the newer version of the house in many ways remains the weaker of the two.
Neither elf house advertises its shadow services. Instead, the houses share a public face as entertainers and artisans of renown. Maison Thuranni has a darker agenda and more aggressive business tactics, however. When someone has a need for its services, or when the house has something important to sell, a representative appears in L'Ombres to whisper an offer with a knowing smile.
For twenty_five years, since shortly after striking out on its own, Maison Thuranni has run its Réseau de l'Ombre from enclaves in Port Royal in the Principautés de Lhazaar. The house operates outposts throughout Khorvaire, but its patriarch has a fondness for Sharn, the Cité des Tours.

Oversees the activities of the house, selling its services to clients in Karrnath, Droaam, Q'barra, and the Principautés de Lhazaar, among others. Rumors persist that the baron deals with the Order of the Griffe Émeraude, but not even Maison Phiarlan has been able to confirm this.
