Three years ago Prisonnier Quatorze became a resident of one of the cells in the Deep Ward of Fort-Terreur. The prisoner's exact identity is known by roi_kaius_iii and High Warden Lord Zaxon de Kundarak.

The prisoner wears an iron mask that obscures their features and has an arcane lock preventing its removal. The mask seemingly has a magical enchantment which prevents speaking.

The prisoner's real identity and alleged crimes remain a mystery to all but a few.

Prisonnier Quatorze appears to be a Humain male.

The prisoner's movements are sluggish, which may be due to lingering damage or wards on the iron mask.

According to the Eberron Campaign Guide, Prisonnier Quatorze is actually roi_kaius_iii, exiled and imprisoned in Fort-Terreur to allow his great-grandfather kaius_i to rule the nation once again.

Keith Baker has suggested on his website that Prisonnier Quatorze may be a karrnathi warlord guilty of war crimes during the derniere_guerre that kaius_iii wants kept alive, the true kaius_iii as described in the Eberron Campaign Guide, or even kaius_i pulling a double-bluff on Erandis Vol to free Karrnath from the grasp of the griffe_emeraude for good. ==
