The pit fiend Korliac was compelled by madness to pursue knowledge forbidden to him on his home plane of Fernia, the Sea of Fire. Korliac of the Gray Flame is now allied with the Les Seigneurs Des Cendres, and he serves Tul Oreshka, the Truth in the Darkness.

The mad pit fiend is one of the non-Rakshasa among the Les Seigneurs Des Cendres. He is particularly active in Xen'Drik.

In his true form Korliac of the Gray Flame appears similar to a typical pit fiend from his home plane of Fernia.

He may assume the form of any small or medium Humainoïde using his polymorph spell. His fire spells manifest as ghostly gray flame.

Korliac can polymorph himself into small or medium Humainoïde forms. His fire spells automatically strike ethereal foes, deal half profane damage and fire damage, and cause a lesser confusion effect on those who fail his DC 19 Will Save.

Korliac lacks the ability to summon other diables shared by his pit fiend brethren. He may have bound exiled diables from Shavarath to his cause as minions.

Korliac of the Gray Flame is mentioned as a possible character to use in the Age of Worms adventure path in the conversion notes by Keith Baker.
