| | **Tul Oreshka, the Truth in the Darkness **is an Overlord of the horrible secrets lurking in Ombre from the Âge des Démons. |
| | |
| | ====== Histoire ====== |
| | <span class="">Sul Khatesh, Le Geolier of Secrets is one of the maitres_demoniaques <span class="">who claimed ruled over all of Eberron <span class="">during the Âge des Démons<span class="">. She was bound by the Dragons <span class="">and Couatl <span class="">after they jointly discovered the Prophétie Draconique<span class="">, and the Couatl <span class="">sacrificed themselves to form the Flamme d'Argent<span class="">. |
| | |
| | ====== Appearance & Personality ====== |
| | <span class="">As with all maitres_demoniaques<span class="">, Tul Oreshka has no true fixed form, and can assume any shape of her choosing between and size. |
| | |
| | Tul Oreshka could be as much a threat to her allies as to her enemies. |
| | |
| | ====== Capacités ====== |
| | Tul Oreshka counts **Madness** and **Ombre** as her domains, and has powers related to these themes. |
| | |
| | <span class="">Though she is truly bound by the power of the Flamme d'Argent and only dimly conscious of the world, she can still observe standing ruins from the Âge des Démons, her chosen servants among the diables, as well as any location where her name or title is spoken for a short time. |
| | |
| | The area around her tomb influences those towards madness. |
| | |
| | ====== Servants ====== |
| | * The mad Fernian pit fiend Korliac of the Gray Flame is among her servants. He concentrates his attention on Xen'drik, where he uses adventurers as pawns for the Seigneurs Des Cendres. |
| | |
| | ====== Notes ====== |
| | Keith Baker has noted on his website that Tul Oreshka encompasses the secrets that will drive one to madness.The Maîtres Démoniaques of the Premier Âge aren’t , and they can step on each other’s toes. The rangel of their influence is limited; if Rak Tulkhesh is influencing events in the Cinq Nations, he’s out of rangel to also be influencing events in Xen’drik – but there could be ANOTHER Overlord tied to war influencing cap-tempete. With that said, the ones you’ve described are different from one another. I’d love to do a more detailed accounting of each of these when the DM’s Guild opens up for Eberron, but in short: |
| | |
| | npc:bel_shalor is more about corruption while Eldrantulku is about chaos and discord. |
| | Sul Khatesh is the master of arcane secrets, while Tul Oreshka knows the secrets that will drive you mad. Sul Khatesh knows incantations that can destroy cities or raise the dead; Tul Oreshka knows what your lover truly thinks about you, and what’s lurking underneath your bed in the dark. |
| | Dral Khatuur embodies the chill that kills the harvest and saps the strength of the strongest man. The Wild Heart is the predator that lurks within, the rabid instincts that lie beneath the surface waiting to be unleashed.}} |
| | |
| | He also notes Tul Oreshka has some possible similarities with La Furie, the Sovereign of Rage and Ruin of Les Sombres Six. He suggests that worshippers of Les Sombres Six would see positive aspects in La Furie that are lacking in a being of pure evil such as Tul Oreshka as one of the maitres_demoniaques of the Premier Âge. You’ve already made clear the differences between the Légion Souveraine and the Maîtres Démoniaques, but would you consider the Sombres Six as a whole to be enemies of the Maîtres Démoniaques as well? |
| | |
| | I’m going to rewrite my original answer to this question, because I think it was unclear. First of all, a defending element of is that their existence cannot be conclusively proven. They are said to be omnipresent and to influence their spheres wherever events occur. The Dols are present anytime blades are drawn. And yet they cannot physically manifest. In this, they are concretely different from maitres_demoniaques, who influence a limited area (even if potentially a very large one) and can physically manifest. An Overlord can be bound, and an Overlord cannot. So in some ways it’s a meaningless question, because Les Sombres Six don’t manifest, so HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? With that said, I’d argue that EVERYONE is against the maitres_demoniaques. If I’m a Méduse priestess of L'Ombre, I’m not going to look at npc:bel_shalor and say “I dunno, I kind of like the cut of his jib.” Among other things, most cultures that revere Les Sombres Six look at their positive elements. You could say that Tul Oreshka and La Furie have some overlap, but Tul Oreshka is PURE MADNESS, while the Furie can reflect the positive aspects of passion and emotion. |
| | |
| | WITH THAT SAID: Canon sources suggest that many of the myths associated with are drawn from the actions of Dragons in the Premier Âge, who may have somehow ascended to become the Sovereigns; this is the foundation of Thir and the Église de l'ascension du Wyrm. By these principles, Dol Dorn, Dol Arrah and Dol Azur were all martial Dragons, and Dol Azur was flayed after betraying the others – suggesting that he, at least, was working with the enemy. The Dragon who became Le Geolier may have had an alliance with Katashka. The MYTH of L'Ombre may have been Inspiré by npc:bel_shalor – even though L'Ombre that is worshipped in Droaam ISN’T npc:bel_shalor.}} |
