**Vvaraak** is the black [[Dragon]] who taught the first [[Gardiens]] and began the [[sectes_druidiques|Druidique tradition]] in western [[Khorvaire]] many thousands of years ago during the [[Âge des Monstres]]. She was also known as 'the Scaled Apostate.'

====== Histoire ======
Vvaraak was a black [[Dragon]] who traveled to [[Khorvaire]] to over 16,000 years ago to teach the [[Orcs]] the secrets of Druidique magic. She did so to halt a great disaster she had foreseen, presumably the [[Guerre Daelkyr]], the incursion of [[Daelkyr]] and their [[Aberration]] servants from [[Xoriat|Xoriat, the Realm of Madness]]. The threat she predicted may not have yet come to pass.

The dragons of [[Argonnessen]] consider Vvaraak a Draconique rogue, who shared the secrets of Druidique magic to the unworthy after being denied by [[the Conclave]] of [[Argonnessen]].

Vvaraak taught the [[Orcs]] [[classe:druide|Druidique]] magic over the course of a century, before departing to spread the [[gardiens|Gatekeeper]] tradition among the rest of [[Eberron]]. She is said to have taught them the secrets of creating the first [[horrid animals]]. She may have descended into [[khyber_trefonds_obscurs|the depths of Khyber]] to teach the [[gardiens|Gatekeeper]] tradition to creatures such as the [[Derro]].

It is unknown if she was destroyed by the [[Eyes of Chronepsis]] for her actions, or even if her actions were approved by [[the Conclave]] in the first place. She is revered by the [[Orcs]] of the [[Frontières de l'Ombre]] as their teacher. Some tribes of the [[homme-lezard]] of [[Q'barra]] and [[Xen'drik]] practice [[gardiens|Gatekeeper]] traditions in her honor. The [[Seren]] [[classe:druide|druids]] call her the Ebon Mother.

Locations such as [[cave_de_vvaraak]] and the [[Mystic Glade]] in western [[Khorvaire]] are said to still bear lingering magic from her presence.

====== Note ======
Vvaraak was a [[classe:druide|Child of Eberron]], the sovereign path of the Draconique adherents of [[Thir]] who seek to be closer to nature. The dark aspect is recognizable to Humanoïdes as [[Le Dévoreur]], the Sovereign of Wave and Whelm of the [[Sombres Six]]. The light aspect is then [[Arawai]], the Sovereign of Life and Love of the [[Légion Souveraine]].

Vvaraak was misidentified in the [[Eberron Campaign Setting (book)| as a green dragon.
