**Le Fractionnement** was a five-hundred-year period, where wars between the city-states known as Les Douzes Kingdoms threatened to engulf all of [[Sarlona]].

====== Histoire ======
Le Fractionnement first began one-thousand-five-hundred years ago, when the birth of the first [[Kalashtar]] of [[Adar]] turned the gaze of the [[Quorien]] of the [[reve_obscur]] to [[Sarlona]]. The conflict of the dreams entities of [[Dal Quor]] bled into the waking world of [[Eberron]].

Les Douzes Kingdoms that inhabited the lands of what are now modern-day [[Riedra]] and [[Syrkarn]] warred amongst each other for two hundred years.

The conflict between [[Khunan]], [[Lamecha]], [[Mae Khree]], and [[Sunyagir]] was one of the first of Le Fractionnement. These //magewars //between the four nations// //gave rise to the [[Yuan-ti]] and the nation of [[Syrkarn|Syrkarn.]] This might have been related to the release of an [[maitres_demoniaques|Overlord]] bound beneath the city of [[Sustrai Mor]] that gives the land its modern name, [[Syrkarn]].

After two hundred years of conflict, the [[Quorien]] completed their manipulation to create the first of [[the Inspiré|The Chosen]]. The [[Quorien]] made use of careful manipulation to scapegoat forces such as the [[Yuan-ti]], [[Shulassakar]], and [[ogre mages]] within Les Douzes kingdoms to unify most of the continent under their rule. These [[Inspiré]] representatives of higher powers stepped in and began the process of unifying eight of the kingdoms under a single faith and flag, that of the [[Chemin de l'Inspiration]] and [[Riedra|The Unity of Riedra]].

Many residents of the continent escaped from [[Sarlona]] to avoid this upheaval, to lands including [[Adar]], [[Khorvaire]], and [[Xen'Drik|Xen'drik]].

The ending of Le Fractionnement was heralded as the start of the **Age of Unity.**
