+====== Mazyralyx ======

 +aliases = Avatar of Le Geolier;<br/>The First Dracolich
 +^Domicile = l_antre_du_geolier, Les Désolations Démoniaques
 +^Genre = Unknown
 +^Race = Unknown Dragon Dracolich
 +dob = Sometime during the Âge des Démons
 +age = 100,000+ years old
 +
 +**Mazyralyx** is one name given to the Dragon said to guard or reside in the l_antre_du_geolier by the northeastern shores of the Demon Wastes.
 +
 +====== Histoire ======
 +Mazyralyx is said to be a //runescribed// dracolich that guards the l_antre_du_geolier, the Fragments de Khyber which supposedly hold the souls of those slain by Khyber's fang weapons, the surrounding Dolurrh Zone De Manifestation, and the chasm into the depths of Khyber.
 +
 +It is rumored that the dracolich may have been created by Katashka le Gardien des Portes during the Âge des Démons.
 +
 +====== Appearance & Personality ======
 +The dracolich in the l_antre_du_geolier claims to be a true avatar of Le Geolier, the Sovereign of Death and Decay of the Sombres Six.
 +
 +As a dracolich, presumably Mazyralyx looks like a skeletal or semi-skeletal Draconique corpse with glowing pinpoints for eyes in its eye sockets.
 +
 +====== Capacités ======
 +The dracolich in the l_antre_du_geolier is an ancient, and powerful Mort-vivant Dragon that bound its spirit to a phylactery through a dark ritual which included deliberately poisoning its body and possessing its own corpse. As a dracolich it is capable of transferring its spirit into any nearby reptilian or Draconique corpse, and controlling the Mort-vivant.
 +
 +====== Notes ======
 +As a sElfee-styled manifestation of Le Geolier, Mazyralyx's actions during the Âge des Démons were presumably reflective of the dark aspect of the souverains archetype known as the master of the hoard.
 +
 +Katashka le Gardien des Portes and deals he struck with Dragons such as Mazyralyx during the Âge des Démons are one possible source of inspiration for various myths of the Le Geolier, the Sovereign of Death and Decay of the Sombres Six.{{Cite web|url = http://keith-baker.com/eberron-flashback-the-lords-of-dust/|title = Eberron Flashback: The Seigneurs Des Cendres|author = Keith Baker|date = 01/03/2017|year = |month = |archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20170811003419/http://keith-baker.com/eberron-flashback-the-lords-of-dust/|archivedate = 08/11/2017|accessdate = 2/10/2019|quote = You’ve already made clear the differences between the Légion Souveraine and the Maîtres Démoniaques, but would you consider the Sombres Six as a whole to be enemies of the Maîtres Démoniaques as well?
 +
 +I’m going to rewrite my original answer to this question, because I think it was unclear. First of all, a defending element of sovereigns is that their existence cannot be conclusively proven. They are said to be omnipresent and to influence their spheres wherever events occur. The Dols are present anytime blades are drawn. And yet they cannot physically manifest. In this, they are concretely different from Maîtres Démoniaques, who influence a limited area (even if potentially a very large one) and can physically manifest. An Overlord can be bound, and an Overlord  cannot. So in some ways it’s a meaningless question, because the Sombres Six don’t manifest, so HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? With that said, I’d argue that EVERYONE is against the Maîtres Démoniaques. If I’m a Méduse priestess of L'Ombre, I’m not going to look at Bel Shalor and say “I dunno, I kind of like the cut of his jib.” Among other things, most cultures that revere the Sombres Six look at their positive elements. You could say that Tul Oreshka and the Furie have some overlap, but Tul Oreshka is PURE MADNESS, while the Furie can reflect the positive aspects of passion and emotion.
 +
 +WITH THAT SAID: Canon sources suggest that many of the myths associated with Sovereigns are drawn from the actions of Dragons in the Premier Âge, who may have somehow ascended to become the Sovereigns; this is the foundation of Thir and the Église de l'ascension du Wyrm. By these principles, Dol Dorn, Dol Arrah and Dol Azur were all martial Dragons, and Dol Azur was flayed after betraying the others – suggesting that he, at least, was working with the enemy. The Dragon who became Le Geolier may have had an alliance with Katashka. The MYTH of L'Ombre may have been Inspiré by Bel Shalor – even though L'Ombre that is worshipped in Droaam ISN’T Bel Shalor.}}{{Cite web|url = http://keith-baker.com/d6keeper/|title = The Sombres Six: Le Geolier|author = Keith Baker|date = 01/01/2019|year = |month = |archiveurl = |archivedate = |accessdate = 2/11/2019|quote = What makes Le Geolier and Katashka: the Gatekeeper definitely different beings and sources of power to the dragons?
 +
 +Katashka le Gardien des Portes is one of the Maîtres Démoniaques of the Premier Âge, an archfiend embodying the fears of death and undeath. There’s certainly some overlap, and one of the Commun theories is that the inspiration for Le Geolier was a of the Premier Âge who bargained with Katashka and became the first dracolich—and that this entity could be the inhabitant of the l_antre_du_geolier in the desolations_demoniaques. But there are critical differences between the two. Again, Katashka is a fiend who embodies our fears of death and undeath. If freed from his bonds, Katashka would create a blighted realm in which Mort-vivant prey upon the living. Katashka is in essence a predator who strikes indiscriminately, spreading the influence of the dead across his domain. He is a source of necromantic power, certainly, but he’s an immortal fiend—not something a dragon could aspire to become.
 +
 +By contrast, Le Geolier is the embodiment of greed… it just happens that one of the things he covets is souls, and he uses death and disease as a way to acquire them. The Thir archetype tied to Le Geolier is the Master of the Hoard; dragons who emulate Le Geolier “treat life and death as simple negotiations and collect actual souls.” As a general rule, Katashka isn’t interested in bargaining or acquiring PARTICULAR souls; he’s all-consuming. Le Geolier is a connoisseur who relishes his hoard and who’s always interested in a bargain. And of course, dragons believe that it’s possible for an exceptional Master of the Hoard to BECOME the new Keeper.}}
